Our Executive Director. He produces large quantities of rice WCS (whole crop silage)—fermented rice forage used as cattle feed!



山下 辰巳

Tatsumi Yamashita

  • Strawberries and rice
  • Has been a strawberry farmer for 26 years.

Primarily cultivates 45a of strawberries (Yūbeni variety) and 170a of rice (Kumasan no Kagayaki variety).
Also serves as Vice Chair of the JA Yatsushiro Showa Strawberry Producers’ Association** and as a **board member of Agri Hinagu Co., Ltd.


高木 明日香

Asuka Takagi

  • Rice, open-field vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, potatoes, sweet corn, okra, chili peppers), and bananas
  • Director, Takaki Co., Ltd.

A self-proclaimed banana cultivation pro. He also grows rice and a variety of open-field vegetables. Beyond farming, he’s also working hard to pass down traditional performing arts through oral tradition.



水田 大地

Daichi Mizuta

  • Rice; open-field vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn); and greenhouse crops (asparagus)
  • Yatsushiro Mizuta Farm

“I don’t grow vegetables just because they’re ‘good for your body.’ I grow vegetables you eat because they’re simply delicious.”



清田 一生

Issei Kiyota

  • Igusa (rush grass), tatami-omote (tatami facing), and rice
  • Takara Craft

After returning to his hometown to start farming (U-turn farming), he’s working hard to grow igusa under the guidance of his parents!



桑原 健太

Kenta Kuwahara

  • Citrus fruits such as banpeiyu, and a food truck business
  • Representative, Yatsushiro Sunny Side Farm

An all-arounder and the team’s mood-maker. He probably spends more time meeting people than working in the fields.



溝口 善大

Yoshihiro Mizoguchi

  • Igusa (rush grass), rice, and open-field vegetables (cabbage, broccoli)
  • Mizoguchi Igusa Factory

He grows Yatsushiro’s specialty igusa (rush grass) and produces tatami-omote (goza matting). In winter, he also grows a small amount of open-field vegetables.
